About Dreaming Unicorns   15 July 2019 — Dreaming Unicorns

That’s a very smart question! Where do unicorns really come from? The first drawing of a creature with one horn was found in the Lascaux Caves in France. The drawing dates back to 15,000 BCE and was thought to be the first illustration of a magical unicorn. However, at a closer look, the scientists discovered that the creature actually had two horns, so it was determined to be an antelope or a bull. So, no, unicorns don’t come from France!

Even though unicorns make appearances throughout mythology and have been mentioned by Greeks, Romans, and Indians, it turns out that they may have originated from our own imaginations. People through the ages have been telling stories of magical creatures, including unicorns, which may have evolved over time to become the creatures we know today.

But where is the fun in accepting that? How about we just believe that unicorns come from a magical unicorn world, where rivers are made of ice cream and mountains of chocolate? And, of course, that unicorns can fulfill wishes! Just wish upon a horn and your wish will come true! So grab your cuddly unicorn, and you’ll instantly travel to a fantastic world! That sounds a lot better, doesn’t it?
